MapGuide has been around for some years now as a commercial Autodesk Internet / Intranet mapping product. An open source version of MapGuide was released in 2006. In addition Autodesk released MapGuide Studio, a commercial application for building MapGuide maps and applications.
Since then a public domain authoring tool has been released. MapGuide Maestro is an Open Source map authoring tool for MapGuide Open Source.
